Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) treasurer and secretary of Haryana Cricket Association, Aniruddh Chaudhary, made it clear that his state association would not make any plea to the board to revoke the ban imposed on tainted cricketer Ajit Chandila. Chandila, S Sreesanth and Ankeet Chavan were recently acquitted by Patiala House Court, which dropped the MCOCA charges levelled against them by the Delhi Police in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2013 spot-fixing scandal, but BCCI's life ban continues to remain in place. As far as Chandila is concerned, he is still under indefinite suspension.

While Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) chief TC Mathew and Mumbai CA secretary P V Shetty have stated that they would request BCCI to consider allowing Sreesanth and Chavan to play club cricket, Chandila will not find it easy as his parent state body HCA is not behind him currently.

"There is a BCCI suspension on Ajit Chandila and until the Board decides otherwise, we are not thinking on those lines. Haryana Cricket Association is not going to make any appeal to BCCI regarding revoking Ajit Chandila's suspension. If BCCI decides anything, then we would see what we need to do. Till then Chandila's case would not be taken up by us," Chaudhary told PTI on the sidelines of Board's marketing committee meeting.

When another HCA official was enquired, he also straightaway said that Chandila "would not even be allowed to play even a district match as far as our association is concerned."
