So, that's it from our side! A power-packed performance with the bat from South Africa saw them through. India won't be too disappointed as their batters batted in tricky conditions and the middle-order did pretty well. The execution was a bit off with the ball for both sides and they would want to work on that. India did have to bowl with the wet ball and that can be taken into consideration. Join us for the final T20I day after tomorrow at Johannesburg. Till then, goodbye and cheers!

Aiden Markram | South Africa captain: A bit bleak about Durban, it was disappointing. Great crowd in today and it's nice to put in a performance in front of them. It was on the slower side. But after the rain came in, it quickened up. Sometimes you try too much in T20 cricket, if a match up works you go with him. But, you don't want to keep him for too long as the batter lines him up. (On Reeza Hendricks) He has been fantastic, super happy for him, he has adopted a bit of leadership role with the batting. Another brilliant knock from him tonight. You gotta pick form players going into the world cup. There might still be a couple of places up for grabs. Every player is working hard and giving his best. The healthy competition means a lot for us.

Tabraiz Shamsi | Player of the Match: (On his shoe-phone celebration) I packed that celebration away, but the kids keep asking me to bring it about, so can't disappoint them. To be able to deliver under pressure against India was pleasing. (On SKY) He is a wonderful player and he has shown that again today. Aiden was brilliant with his changes. Since Rob has come in, he has created a brilliant environment in the team. He pushes hard in the field but also allows us to enjoy with our families. The results are there to show on the field.

SKY | India captain: At the halfway stage, I thought it was a par score but they batted beautifully in the first 5-6 overs and took the game away from us. It was the brand of cricket we were talking about, just go out and express ourselves. It was tough with the wet ball, but we would face similar situations in the future and it's a good learning for us. Looking forward to the third T20I.

20:56 Local Time, 18:56 GMT, 00:26 IST: We have been treated to some fascinating ball-hitting tonight with South Africa coming out triumphs! After winning the toss and opting to bowl, the hosts begun on the right note with both openers departing for a duck. But India staged a brilliant recovery courtesy a dominant middle-order performance with SKY and Rinku at the helm of things. Rain came down just before the completion of the first innings and it did quicken up the slow pitch. The revised target for South Africa was 152 off 15 overs. Hendricks and Breetzke got their side off to a flier as the duo stitched 42 off 17 balls. The latter succumbed to a run-out but the platform was already set. Markram came in and middled the ball beautifully with Hendricks going hammer and tongs from the other end. Gripping the ball was a difficulty considering how damp the outfield was. The Indian bowlers missed their mark and paid the price. The hosts lost 3 wickets in a space of 12 runs and the Men in Blue had a glimmer of hope. However, it was too much of a ask for the Indian bowlers and they couldn't effect anything spectacular. Stubbs and Phehlukwayo held their nerves and took their side off to a convincing victory. Time for the presentations now...

Jadeja to Phehlukwayo, SIX, Phehlukwayo finishes it off in emphatic fashion! A comfortable victory for South Africa eventually. A dragdown on leg-stump, Phehlukwayo pulls it with aplomb over deep square leg for a maximum. Customary handshakes all around as South Africa take an unassailable 1-0 lead in the series

Jadeja to Phehlukwayo, 2 runs, Jadeja sees Phehlukwayo coming down the track and fires it on his boots. He almost yorks himself but manages to get some bat on it. Towards fine leg and a couple results. Only 4 more needed now

Jadeja to Tristan Stubbs, 1 run, on a back of a length on off, chopped through cover-point for a single

Jadeja to Tristan Stubbs, FOUR, streaky but counts! Important boundary for SA. Coming in with the arm, Tristan Stubbs goes for the reverse sweep but ends up top-edging it. The ball flies over Arshdeep at short third. He chases it but doesn't put in the dive near the fence

Jadeja to Phehlukwayo, 1 run, fired in on a length on leg-stump, Phehlukwayo swipes it to deep square leg to get off strike

Ravindra Jadeja [2.0-0-14-0] is back into the attack

The crowd is having a good time with their team inching closer to a victory. Meanwhile, Jadeja is given the responsibility to bowl the penultimate over. Can he do something magical?

Mukesh Kumar to Phehlukwayo, 1 run, pitched up ball on off, Phehlukwayo drills it down to long-off to retain strike

Andile Phehlukwayo, left handed bat, comes to the crease

Mukesh Kumar to Miller, out Caught by Siraj!! Is there a twist in the tale? A low full-toss on leg-stump, Miller's bat turns on impact as he mistimes his hit towards deep mid-wicket. HIs bottom hand also came off while he played that shot. Siraj moves to his left and is safe as houses. Miller c Siraj b Mukesh Kumar 17(12) [4s-1 6s-1]

Mukesh Kumar to Miller, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

Mukesh Kumar to Miller, SIX, in the arc, out of the park! Mukesh Kumar bowls a slot ball on leg-stump, Miller clears his front leg and heaves it over deep mid-wicket for a maximum

Mukesh Kumar to Tristan Stubbs, 1 run, another low full-toss on off, Tristan Stubbs hits it to long-on for a single

The towel comes out again as SKY dries the wet ball. Conditions are not easy for the bowlers

Mukesh Kumar to Tristan Stubbs, 2 runs, a low full-toss on off, hit down the ground towards long-off. A misfield from the fielder allows the batters to rush back for the second run
