Delhi reached the semi-finals in 2008 and 2009, missed out on qualifying for the knock-outs in the 2010 edition and wound up with the wooden spoon for the 2011 edition.

The champions of the second season hit a slippery rope and finished a woeful seventh in the 2011 version of the IPL.
