Ishank Jaggi has become the latest entrant in the Indian Premier League auction scheduled to be held in Bengaluru on February 20. The Jharkhand batsman wasn't part of the initial list, that had a total of 351 players in it, but was added to the list after his splendid show in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Inter Zonal Trophy.

While there was no official confirmation, his name now features in the players' list under batsman in iplt20.com, the official tournament website, with his base price listed as Rs 10 lakhs.

Jaggi slammed an unbeaten 51 against Central Zone and then followed it up with a 51-ball 90 against South Zone to hog the attention. He now has 148 runs from three games at an average of 74 and a strike rate of 155.78.

"It was important on a personal level because I was disappointed last evening," he had said after the IPL auction snub. "It has been a good season for me as I feel I have hit the peak. I have played so much of domestic cricket that I know all about it and want to graduate to the next level. That is why this knock was so important. It will help me move up to the next level."

Jaggi had a fruitful Ranji Trophy season as well, finishing as the highest run-getter for Jharkhand. He scored 890 runs from 10 games at an average of 59.33 with four centuries to his name.
