Junior Subeditor

Cricbuzz, the most popular destination for Cricket in India, provides all round coverage of international, domestic and T20 leagues from around the world. Cricbuzz's mobile applications for Android and iOS are the no. 1 cricket apps on the respective app stores.

Our mission is to connect experts, fans and followers of cricket with the game they love.

We are looking for Junior Subeditors to join our News team.

Experience required: 1-3 years

Responsibilities
  • Edit, write and publish news and feature articles without grammatical and factual errors.
  • Share content smartly on social media in line with the overall policies of the company.
  • Give the right headlines for articles and feature stories and adhere to SEO and taxonomy guidelines.
  • Be proactive in tracking and identifying major news stories in cricket and following them up appropriately.
  • Curate and manage the Cricbuzz pages on the website and Apps.
Requirements
  • Proficient in written English and copywriting
  • Extensive knowledge of cricket all around the world including international and domestic cricket
  • Newsgathering and subediting
  • Be on par with latest social media trends
