Sri Lanka skipper Angelo Mathews was suspended for two ODIs while the rest of the team was fined 40 per cent of their match fees after a slow over rate against India in the final of the tri-series in the West Indies. David Boon, the match referee imposed the suspension after Sri Lanka were found to be three overs short of their target at the end of the match when time allowances were taken into consideration. Mathews pleaded guilty to the offence and accepted the penalties imposed on himself and the team.
