PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Glenn Maxwell

From seventh place on the table, Stars jump to fourth with this win. That's all we have from here. Until next time, it's goodbye.

Maxwell, POTM: My last four overs had gone for 74, so wasn't too comfortable going in. But with the rain. the ball skidded on and I was able to make good use. Once I got a couple out of the middle (with bat), I started to get the rhythm of the wicket. We haven't had a lot of back-to-back wins. Last one was in Jan 2022 I think. It's frustrating (the niggles) because I feel I'm playing as well as I've ever have.

22:37 Local Time, 11:37 GMT, 17:07 IST: Much needed win for the Stars. They looked to be in trouble early in the chase at 6/3 against some fiery bowling from Meredith. But in such truncated games, all it needs is a couple of good overs to turn the tide. Maxwell and Rogers took their chances and they came off. They took 48 runs in three overs (3-5), turning the game around dramatically and cruising home in the end. The Stars bowlers had done a superb job earlier, bundling out Hurricanes for 155. There was rain in the mid-innings interval and things got slightly tricky as the target got reduced. But they swung their way through trouble led by Maxwell, who was outstanding with ball as well.
