Following the England tour, the reports of both Duncan Fletcher, the head coach of the Indian team and Ravi Shastri, appointed as the director of cricket for the ODI series will be tabled before the BCCI's working committee meeting for the perusal of its members.

A senior functionary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) told PTI that the board's members were interested in having a look at the reports during the meeting, which is scheduled to be held on September 26th. "Let the members see the reports and discuss them," said the Board official.

The board members had an informal gathering in Chennai on Tuesday where they pledged their support to incumbent International Cricket Committee (ICC) chairman, N Srinivasan, and also decided to hold the annual general meeting on September 26th, most likely in Chennai.

Consequently the Board's AGM cannot be held before September 30 as a three-week notice needs to be given for the AGM as per the BCCI's Memorandum of Rules and Regulations. "After taking all the possible technical and legal opinions, at the moment, there seems to be no other option but to postpone the AGM," BCCI Secretary Sanjay Patel had said after Tuesday's informal meeting.

India squandered a 1-0 advantage and lost the final three Tests in humiliating fashion to surrender the 5-Test series by a 3-1 margin. The disastrous Test defeat led to a public outcry with several ex-cricketers and experts calling for the ouster of head coach, Duncan Fletcher. In the immediate aftermath, the board appointed Ravi Shastri as the director of cricket for the ODI series. Changes were also made in the support staff personnel with bowling coach, Joe Dawes, and fielding coach, Trevor Penney, being rested for the remainder of the tour. Under Shastri, India went on to win the ODI series by an identical 3-1 margin but lost the lone T20I by a slender margin of 3 runs.

The board has hinted that it is waiting on Shastri's report before deciding upon the future of Fletcher. The Zimbabwean though has been contracted to coach the Indian team until the end of the 2015 World Cup, scheduled to be held in Australia and New Zealand.
