Suspended Pakistan off-spinner, Saeed Ajmal, isn't worried about the International Cricket Council's (ICC) action and hopes to be back playing cricket before the 2015 World Cup, scheduled to be held in Australia and New Zealand.

Ajmal was suspended by the apex body after the independent analysis found all his deliveries to be going way beyond the 15-degree tolerance limit as set by the ICC. Consequently, Ajmal decided against appealing the verdict and will instead work on remodelling his bowling action before applying for a re-assessment with the concerned authorities.

Ajmal is expected to miss the upcoming home season in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) featuring full series against Australia and New Zealand but is hoping to make a comeback in the 2015 World Cup.

Speaking before the media, Ajmal said he was certainly disappointed over the verdict but hoped that he could be back as soon as possible. "I am sitting in front of you without any tension," said Ajmal in Lahore on Monday. "Whatever happened, it was disappointing for me, but now I am not disappointed at all. I am eyeing staging a strong comeback in the World Cup."

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has hired legendary off-spinner, Saqlain Mushtaq, to assist Ajmal in working on his bowling action. He is expected to join the ace spinner at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore next week.

"He (Saqlain) is a legend and used to bowl exactly like me ... doosra, off-spin and everything," Ajmal said. "He knows a lot and had done enough coaching. Hopefully I will get benefit from his experience," he added.

Pakistan has already started the process of finding a suitable replacement for the champion bowler and Ajmal was confident that his successor would be even better than him. "We have lot of talent in our country. I am sure my replacement will perform better than me," he said.
