Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman, Shaharyar Khan, has assured full support for Saeed Ajmal. The off-spinner has been banned from playing cricket due to illegal bowling action and is currently undergoing corrective measures for the same.

Shaharyar Khan has said that PCB will be doing all that is possible to get Ajmal back into action.

"The services of a bio-mechanic expert are also being hired for his rehabilitation, besides the hiring of former Pakistan off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq to rectify his bowling action," Shaharyar was quoted as saying by The Dawn.

Shaharyar also mentioned that Pakistan are searching for a replacement for Ajmal.

"In the meantime, to find out the best replacement for Ajmal, some spinners have been invited to the National Cricket Academy and the selectors would pick the best one from them for the upcoming series against Australia."

Shaharyar also mentioned that coach, Waqar Younis, had been consulted before appointing Shahid Afridi as the captain of the T20I team. Pakistan have also delayed announcing the squad for the series against Australia until the National T20 Cup takes place.
