Pakistan Cricket board (PCB) has released Saqlain Mushtaq who was contracted for a month to help Saeed Ajmal correct his bowling action. Ajmal will continue with his remedial activities in the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

Saqlain might be hired again after the evaluation of Ajmal's action in the United Kingdom in early November.

"Following this evaluation the cricket committee will decide whether or not to acquire the services of Saqlain Mushtaq afresh," said a press release from PCB.

Saqlain spent a month with Ajmal at the NCA but has other commitments and opportunities as well at the moment.

"Basically Saqlain has got some other offers including one from the West Indies Cricket Board so obviously he wanted to be clear about his immediate future," a well informed source in the board said to PTI.

If required Ajmal might be sent to England in early November so that Saqlain can be with him before his evaluation at the lab in Cardiff, added the source.

The PCB paid a handsome amount of one million rupees plus other perks to Saqlain for his one month contract.
