22:05 local, 11:05 GMT, 16:35 IST: Whoops! Game called off, both teams share a point each. It was inevitable, wasn't it? With rain refusing to relent, the umpires have decided to call it off. The Sixers were ahead on the DLS score, but it needed one more over to constitute a game. Alas, wasn't to be. The Thunder lost momentum towards the backend, and perhaps, wouldn't mind the end result. The action shifts to Adelaide tomorrow where the radar looks promising as of now. Do remember to join us for that one. Cheers!!

21:55 local, 10:55 GMT, 16:25 IST: If the rain doesn't stop in 8 minutes time, the game will be called off - Official update from umpire Greg Davidson. The groundstaff need 20 minutes to get the ground game-ready and post that we will be able to have one over in order to have a result. If the rain doesn't stop by 22:03, this will be a no-result. It's still raining at the moment.

Alex Ross: I felt decent. Nice to contribute tonight, we kept losing wickets at the wrong time. That powersurge was nice, it changed the momentum a little bit and it was good to get going there. We were probably 15-20 under par, if and when we get out there we will be able to defend that hopefully. Really frustrated, for the fans as well, it's been really loud and awesome to see great crowds. We had 27 minutes left to bowl one over (at 16:13 IST) and 5 overs constitute a game, we are really disappointed for the fans. Little bit of sore hip (Oliver Davies) I believe, outside of that I don't know much about the injury really.

21:38 local, 10:38 GMT, 16:08 IST: ICYMI: We have lost 4 overs already.

21:35 local, 10:35 GMT, 16:05 IST: The umpires are out in the middle with their brollies. It's coming down pretty hard at the moment. Thunder skipper Green is strolling behind the onfield umpires, perhaps to try and get some information about cut-off/inspection time.

Jordan Silk: We are one over away from constituting a game, which is a shame really, hopefully it (rain) will pass soon. I have seen a lot of people in the top tier which is awesome and great to see. I practice these sort of things (freak catches near the boundary rope), it was good to hang onto that. There is a lot of practice and training that goes into it. It is also about awareness and trying to get better at it, like running from side to side. We put ourselves in a really good spot, we got the Heat coming up in back-to-back games. We weren't expecting rain tonight, fingers crossed we will get out there soon. Pretty good to see a lot of people at the Showground stadium. Doesn't look good (the weather) at the moment.

21:21 local, 10:21 GMT, 15:51 IST: Uh-oh! The drizzle has gotten heavier and the players have been asked to leave the field. The crowd too are searching for cover. Remember, 38/1 is the DLS par score after 5 overs, but if this game doesn't progress any further it will end up as a no-result.
