Matthew Short

So, that's it from our side. Perth Scorchers will host Hobart Hurricanes tomorrow. Do join us for that contest. Till then, goodbye and cheers!

Matthew Short | Hero of the Match: Unbelievable game. Hose batted extremely well today. I am so happy. With the interruption that we had in the past, to be able to win this game was fantastic for us. We love the crowd here. They are always loud and come out to support us. We love every bit of playing at the Adelaide Oval. The pitch is quite batter-friendly, and we always love batting here.

22:03 Local Time, 11:33 GMT, 17:03 IST: That was a fast-paced game and Strikers have done really well to chase down 200. It was a conducive pitch for strokeplay. Boundaries and sixes rained tonight and more than 400 runs were scored. The duo of Matthew Short and D Arcy Short set up the tone for the home side in the run-chase. Both mixed caution with aggression to perfection and stayed afloat with the asking rate. After the skipper departed, the Thunder pulled things back a bit. D Arcy also fell to a superb yorker from Sams. Lynn couldn't get going and perished. But, Hose was cool as a cucumber and played some inventive shots to keep his side on the front foot. And, he struck a brilliant six to take his side home with two balls to spare. Stay tuned for the Hero of the Match...

19.4

Zaman Khan to Adam Hose, SIX, what a strike! Strikers win a close game and the crowd is going bonkers! Pitched up ball outside off, Adam Hose crouches in his stance and smokes it over the bowler's head. Generated a lot of power with his bottom hand and the ball sails over the ropes. Customary handshakes all around. Brilliant run-chase from the hosts

19.3

Zaman Khan to Adam Hose, 2 runs, nails in the yorker, in the boots, Adam Hose digs it out through backward square leg. The batters call for two and Adam Hose is running towards the danger end. The throw is flat but unluckily, Gilkes gets a bad bounce and can't collect it. Adam Hose was struggling

19.2

Zaman Khan to Adam Hose, FOUR, that's an outrageous shot! Adam Hose premeditates and shapes up for a scoop. Zaman Khan does well to bowl it fullish and wide outside off. Adam Hose adjusts and reverse scoops it past the keeper. Runs away to the third man fence

Jamie Overton, right handed bat, comes to the crease

19.1

Zaman Khan to Weatherald, out Weatherald Run Out!! This is poor cricket from Weatherald! Pitched up ball on middle, Weatherald goes for a drive and gets an inside edge onto the pads. The ball rolls besides the pitch on the off-side and the batters take off. Zaman Khan attacks the ball, picks it up as Weatherald is ambling across towards the crease. He hits the bull's eye! He didn't ground his bat in, so casual. The replay rolls in and the southpaw is short. Schoolboy error from him. Weatherald run out (Zaman Khan) 5(4) [4s-1]

Zaman Khan to Weatherald, THATS OUT!! Run Out!!

A run out check against Weatherald . Looks like he is a goner. OUT!

Strikers need 8 off 6 balls. This is well within reach. Zaman Khan to bowl the last over

18.6

McAndrew to Adam Hose, FOUR, what a shot! This is creative batting and it releases the pressure. Fullish ball angling towards the pads, Adam Hose kneels down and sweeps it over short fine leg to find the fence. Almost went all the way

18.5

McAndrew to Adam Hose, FOUR, gets this one away! On a back of a length around off, Adam Hose moves inside the line and scoops it over short third man for another boundary

18.4

McAndrew to Adam Hose, no run, missed out there! Slower full ball outside off, Adam Hose swings across the line and misses

18.3

McAndrew to Adam Hose, no run, short of length ball on off, Adam Hose drags the pull to mid-on

18.2

McAndrew to Adam Hose, FOUR, nicely done! Slower one, Adam Hose picks it up early. Moves inside the line and scoops it past the keeper for an inventive boundary

18.1

McAndrew to Weatherald, leg byes, 1 run, a pacy full-toss on leg-stump, near the waist, Weatherald swings hard at it and ekes an inside edge towards backward square leg for a single. Given as a leg bye

Nathan McAndrew [3.0-0-19-0] is back into the attack

Strikers need 21 runs off 12 balls.

17.6

Zaman Khan to Adam Hose, FOUR, width on offer, Hose says thank you very much and lofts it over covers for a one-bounce boundary. Important hit that
