50 Hundreds for Virat Kohli in One Day Internationals - the first player to reach the milestone. He surpassed Sachin Tendulkar's long standing record of 49 centuries. Tendulkar held the record for most ODI hundreds since September 1998 when he surpassed Desmond Haynes' then record of 17 hundreds.

Tendulkar is behind him in the list with 20 in India and Hashim Amla and Ricky Ponting at a distant third with 14 in South Africa and Australia respectively. Kohli has managed to get to three figures in each of the ten countries he has played ODIs in. He hit hundreds in four consecutive innings in India between December 2017 and October 2018. Only Babar Azam has done so more in a row in one country - five in UAE while AB de Villiers has also hit four in India in 2010-11.

27 Hundreds for Kohli in run chases, ten more than the second-placed Tendulkar. 23 of these 27 have come in successful run chases, in which he averages 90.40. The one at Wankhede semifinal was his 23rd while batting first, surpassing Ponting's 22 with only Tendulkar ahead of him (32).

10 Hundreds for Kohli against Sri Lanka in 51 innings - the most by a player against a team in ODIs. Kohli is joint second in this list with nine three-figure scores in 41 innings against West Indies alongside Tendulkar's nine against Australia. In 2017-18, Kohli became the first player to hit four consecutive hundreds against an opponent when he did so against West Indies, a record emulated by David Warner against Pakistan.

The only other player to do so in at least three calendar years was Rohit Sharma who did so in 2017, 2018 and 2019. 2023 was the third time he hit six hundreds in a calendar year (after 2017 and 2018), making him the only player to do so thrice.

2 Venues where Kohli scored four hundreds - Mirpur and Colombo RPS. He hit four hundreds in successive matches in Colombo RPS between 2012 and 2013 - a feat only emulated by Amla in Centurion Park.

3 Instances of Kohli scoring three (or more) centuries in a series - in South Africa in 2018, against West Indies at home in 2018 and again in World Cup 2023. He is the first player to do so in three separate series/tournaments while four others have done it twice each (Mark Waugh, Chris Gayle, Kumar Sangakkara and Quinton de Kock).

He hit one off 61 balls later in the series in Nagpur which sits third in the list for fastest ODI hundreds for India with Virender Sehwag's 60-ball hundred against New Zealand in Hamilton in 2009 in the second place. Of his 50 hundreds, he reached his hundred in exactly 100 balls or fewer on 25 instances.

119 balls The most Kohli has taken to reach his century, both against South Africa - in Cape Town in 2018 and in Kolkata in World Cup 23rd, which was his 49th. In Cape Town, Kohli hit exactly 100 non-boundary runs.

21 Hundreds for Kohli while leading India in ODIs, in just 91 innings - one fewer than Ponting's 22 in 271 innings. Across these 91 innings, Kohli averaged 72.65 - the highest for any skipper with at least 1000 runs in the format.

He went through with a century in both 2020 and 2021, the only years for him without a century after his debut year (2008) in the format.

105 against New Zealand in Guwahati in November 2010 - his fourth hundred in ODIs and the only one he scored at home in a day game.
