The two-Test series between Australia and West Indies has been rescheduled. The Frank Worrell Trophy, which was due to start on June 5, has now been advanced by two days, with the first Test now beginning on June 3 in Dominica. WICB cricket operations manager Roland Holder said the required changes were made on an account of logistical problems.

"We are fully aware that there are a number of fans planning to travel around and to the Caribbean for the Australia tour, and we want to explain to them that the change was absolutely necessary, due to a number of logistical challenges beyond our control," Holder said in a statement. Australia's three-day practice match has also been moved ahead, with Antigua hosting it on May 27 instead of May 30.

The shift further means that Australia will now arrive in England a couple of days early for The Ashes. Australia play a practice game against Kent on June 25 before beginning their Ashes campaign in Cardiff on July 8. Australia are yet to win an Ashes in England since 2001 where they emerged victorious 4-1.

Revised Tour itinerary:

May 27-29: Tour match, Vivian Richards Cricket Ground, Antigua

June 3-7: First Test, Windsor Park, Dominica

June 11-15: Second Test, Sabina Park, Jamaica
