Virender Sehwag turned 37 on Tuesday (October 20). However, Sehwag had another reason to celebrate. As it panned out, the swashbuckling right-handed batsman announced his decision to retire from international cricket and the Indian Premier League.

He will end his career with 17,253 runs across formats in international cricket.

Sehwag has mesmerised and entertained audiences around the world for the last 14 years and his stature comes as little surprise.How he was adored world over was evident in the messages he received after the announcement.
