West Indies' India tour pull-out

According to the former West Indies captain, he is ready to take up the post of WICB president sometime in the future.

WICB president Dave Cameron has said that the BCCI cannot press for legal proceedings as Indian courts lacked jurisdiction in the matter.

The BCCI has given their West Indian counterparts a seven-day period to comply to their demands, failing which they will start legal proceedings against the WICB.

The decision to reduce the wages of West Indies' international stars was done with an aim to improve domestic cricket, says the author.

BCCI have reportedly claimed damages of up to US$41.97 million from WICB.

The Indian team was expected to play five series against West Indies in the next eight years, including four visits to the Caribbean.

Wally Edwards, the chairman of the International Cricket Council's (ICC) executive committee, said the cricket governing body is keen to help West Indies cricket end their current impasse.

Marlon Samuels has said he was not a part of the decision to abandon the tour of India.

WICB and its players met on Sunday to resolve the payment issue.
